Brock Hewitt is a composer and Anglican deacon whose music inhabits the space between storytelling and prayer. As founder of Stories in Sound Studios based near Toronto, and with early formative experience as an intern at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions in Santa Monica, Brock has been working hard for years to craft cinematic, emotionally resonant compositions. His musical catalogue is always developing his instinct for narrative, timing, and human intimacy — qualities that continue to inform all his future work, from film and media to standalone compositions.
Brock’s music blends neoclassical, minimalist, piano, strings, voice, and ambient textures to create immersive soundscapes moving between scoring and chamber work. His compositions reflect the spiritual rhythms and contemplative practice of his ministerial vocation, offering experiences that are transcendent, heavenly, hope-filled, and deeply human.
He continues to compose music for film, media, and commissioned projects, each piece crafted with artistic intentionality. His repertoire ranges from solo piano to rich orchestral works, always guided by a simple commitment to story and spiritual resonance.
