BUDD – If you don’t already know the name then you’ll almost certainly know the music.
The UK native might already have a string of aliases and achievements, yet the relentless hype from dance floors and DJs worldwide is proving that the powerhouse productions coming from his BUDD persona are the work of a man who is truly on the way to the top of his game.
BUDD’s productions are heavily melodically driven, flirting with the full spectrum of progressive house, from moody, deep and dreamy, to goliath size melodic anthems, with his own 80s inspired retro undertone, deservedly gaining comparisons with progressive heavyweights Pryda and Deadmau5. With releases under his belt on Mau5trap,Toolroom, Zerothree, cr2, Armada and Blackhole the curve of BUDD’s rise is going up rapidly, gaining high profile support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 as well as regular love from Gareth Emery and Above & Beyond who welcomed him to guestmix on their Group therapy Radio while championing numerous releases. DJ mag named “magnetic souls” as one of their songs of the summer in 2016 and Idlewylde was used to heavily promote EDC 2017 in Las Vegas.
BUDD is the inimitable vision of a man who has matured his own sound, to melancholy and understated – his music demands to be listened to 2017 will see him finally translate his sound to the stage with a live show due for launch in 2018.
