Candy Trees is the artistic project of Francesco Lodola. Unique in his kind, he is capable of reconciling his great creativity and versatility, expressing high levels in both physics and music, as recounted in the article in the newspaper l'Essentiel "Francesco, la science des accords".
He began learning the piano at the age of 8 and writing his first piano pieces in the following years, then continued at the conservatory of Parma for piano and classical composition. In his last years of high school, he started writing for orchestra and original music for exhibitions.
Meanwhile, he developed an interest in pop music, with electronic influences such as granular synths, and at 17 he wrote his first piece "Every Moment" which launched him as the frontman of the band. Between concerts in theaters and small venues, he also performed in an acoustic version in England during his last year of master's at Durham, where he published his first scientific paper.
Currently in his second year of a PhD in physics on solar renewable energy, he has returned with the band to perform live in Luxembourg for the release of the album "Change it all", written and produced entirely by Francesco in his bedroom, scheduled for late summer.
