Carmela Visone nació en Alemania. De madre española y padre italiano se crió bajo el calor de una familia del sur de Italia que emigró a Alemania durante la crisis de los años 60. Desde muy pequeña se vió influenciada por la música tradicional napolitana que siempre estuvo presente en la vida familiar. Por otro lado, su madre solía escuchar música afroamericana procedente de las bases militares norteamericanas instaladas en el país. Este cruce de culturas fue lo que forjó en ella una marcada vocación de mestizaje musical.
Carmela Visone was born in Germany. She grew up with her parents, spanish mother and italian father under the warmth of a Southern Italian family that had emigrated to Germany during the 60´s economic crisis. Traditional napolitan music was always present in her family life and caused an influence during her childhood. On the other hand, her mother used to listen to afroamerican music coming from north american military bases settled in Germany. This cultural fusion blended in her a strong musical vocation.
