Caroline Marquard

Swiss-American singer/songwriter Caroline Marquard just released her six-song debut EP The Prologue June 26th. Co-writing andco-producing the entire project, she shares credit with the likes of award winning songwriter Liz Rose (Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood) and co-producer Jordan Lehning (Kacey Musgraves, Shania Twain), among others. Recorded at the Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, the songs were written everywhere from Switzerland to Los Angeles to New York City in recent years.

Billboard praised the emerging artist, saying “Marquard stuns” and noting her “Descriptive songwriting and airy vocals,” with American Songwriter observing that “In such short time, Caroline Marquard has steadily seen her stock rise.”

Marquard recently launched an acoustic video series titled From Switzerland To East Nashville beginning with the single “Never Should’ve Left,” which premiered exclusively with Refinery29’s The Drop platform, which spotlights women artists whose music inspires and excites them.

Calling Nashville home for the last three years, Marquard moved after only her second writing trip. After spending time abroad and across the US, she immediately knew she had to make the move from New York. It was during those writing sessions that her collection of music for The Prologue started to take flight.
