Casey Rivers was born a midwesterner. She has been singing and song-writing since 12 years old. She is a self-proclaimed River Girlie, and has grown roots along the ocean shore in Rhode Island.

Casey has a mild obsession with rivers and all things water, love and the little irksome things in life, she calls qualms. Her old time and effortless vocals captivate audiences, tackling heartbreak and nostalgia with an Americana sound.

“Growing up near water made me appreciate the ways I depend on it, especially in forms of play. I remember spending long hours on damp, summer days, racing leaves down the storm drain and climbing the overhanging tree trunks to watch them float beneath us. "

She first picked up a guitar at 12 years old, when her Dad taught her how to play a few chords. She learned songs by Regina Spektor, The Chicks, and later on, Taylor Swift. Today, she covers songs from a wide-range of artists, including classic-rock, indy folk, contemporary pop, and americana.

Sensitive river girlie | singer-songwriter

Casey describes herself as a sensitive river girlie, country-folk musician, and storyteller. She grew up in Illinois, and has found a home in Westerly, RI. She's recorded two songs, "You'll Be Okay" and "Casey's Song" and is currently working on an album inspired by her obsession with all things water, love and the little irksome, yet nostalgic, things in life, called qualms.
