Cihangir Aslan is an electronic musician from Istanbul, who is in search of deep thoughts and emotions with the help of analog equipments
He released his first album “Roots” under Subroomer Records in 2018 and he appeared on Sonar Istanbul with “Synthesis” project. Roots tells the story of his existence and search for his own roots as in line with the name of the album. “Roots” narrates a modern man who feels lost inside the urban life and begins the search of his own essence in nature.
Cihangir Aslan was born on 1987, in Adana,Turkey.
After studying Guitar at MMA, he was accepted to the Galatasaray ITM sound engineering and music production department.
In his later productions he focused on the thought of minimalism with analog instruments like synthesizers and guitar. Intellectually it was about mans search for meaning. “Process EP” consisting of 4 parts was released on these themes.
“Ride to Light” , “At the Third Point” with Akın Sevgör , “Night Owl” with Dilan Balkay and “Reborn”.
He focused on live performances for while. He performed like Zor, Noh Radio, Birdy Pera, Mecra, RX Istanbul, Babylon, Mix Festival, Sonar Istanbul 2022, Rooftop Festival etc. He gives a Live performance in Electronica / Downtempo style, combining electronic music compositions with ethnic tunes.
In 2022, they released “Cherish” with Can Bora Tanzer.
After a while, “ Cosmic Friend I Miss You” was released.
