Cédric Monnier

Cédric Monnier is a Swiss piano player with French roots.
He recorded his piano compositions in a remote estate in Brittany near the untamed Atlantic coast. In the process, fragile, sensual piano pieces were created, meandering between somnambulistic, cinematic scenery and gentle, natural pureness.
Inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:7y97mc3bZRFXzT2szRM4L4" data-name="Frédéric Chopin">Frédéric Chopin</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:459INk8vcC0ebEef82WjIK" data-name="Erik Satie">Erik Satie</a>, his neoclassical solo piano compositions are reminiscent of many contemporary artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:2uFUBdaVGtyMqckSeCl0Qj" data-name="Ludovico Einaudi">Ludovico Einaudi</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:00sazWvoTLOqg5MFwC68Um" data-name="Yann Tiersen">Yann Tiersen</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:69lxxQvsfAIoQbB20bEPFC" data-name="Philip Glass">Philip Glass</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:14YzutUdMwS9yTnI0IFBaD" data-name="Hania Rani">Hania Rani</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3JU9NLB27wyGhbwbApR9uy" data-name="Olivia Belli">Olivia Belli</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4RB2EEsmLhQTOSVQQpDzNg" data-name="Sofiane Pamart">Sofiane Pamart</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2VZNmg4vCnew4Pavo8zDdW" data-name="Max Richter">Max Richter</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7E3BRXV9ZbCt5lQTCXMTia" data-name="Ólafur Arnalds">Ólafur Arnalds</a>.
Cédric Monnier was a member of the successful pop band <a href="spotify:artist:14Rprm0mUuQI7kXnC9fF3I" data-name="Lunik">Lunik</a>, whose albums reached gold and platinum status in Switzerland. Since their breakup, he continues to co-write, co-produce and tour regularly with their former singer <a href="spotify:artist:0z0YozcOIqw3EDJnU2NgOe" data-name="Jaël">Jaël</a>. At the same time, he co-produced the debut album &#34;Too Much&#34; by the eccentric band <a href="spotify:artist:2jwl8DJIsmnFbA5vPdGSCy" data-name="Bonaparte">Bonaparte</a> and toured with them throughout Europe for several years. Since 2017 he has been playing regular tours with the electronic band <a href="spotify:artist:4tRSX1e4hJYjMNdl1TkINg" data-name="Schiller">Schiller</a> in Germany, Eastern Europe, Russia and Iran. In 2023 Schiller and Cédric Monnier wrote and performed the song Arc Céleste together which is to be found on Schiller’s latest album «Illuminate» (No 1 album charts Germany).
In 2024 Cédric Monnier &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:3LHqODf1hGAgZ5LTw1Gf4C" data-name="Acid Pauli">Acid Pauli</a> released a live EP at <a href="spotify:artist:2prZJWfQMnIgwUKxKcBxH7" data-name="Pierre Boulez">Pierre Boulez</a> Saal Berlin. This contrasting and mutually stimulating collaboration creates an exciting interweaving of acoustic and electronic soundscapes. 2025 he released an EP Live in Germany.
