Bassist <a href="spotify:artist:4p04Xd2ccy2immAeUR9vLA">Brad Hopkins</a>, drummer Derrick Murphy, vocalist/guitarist Chris Tait and keyboard player Tad Winklarz formed Chalk Circle in 1983. Performing around Toronto, the band became popular and signed with Duke Street Records in 1986. Their first EP, The Great Lake, featured "April Fool" and "Me, Myself and I."
