Chandra Lacombe has taken the kalimba to new heights. Originally a 2-finger percussive instrument for melodic patterns, the Brazilian musician and singer brought it to the forefront of composition. By developing a 4-finger technique, he enabled harmonic progression and infinite creativity.
In over 30 years, his repertoire has been strongly based on spiritual music that is delivered on an array of genres; from gentle mantras to inventive rhythms with distorted guitars.
As a touring artist, he’s performed in South, Central and North America, the Middle East and Europe. Since 2011, his shows and recordings in Brazil are performed with Fusão Divina, the band that sustained his shamanic works in São Paulo.
