Known for his vibrant personality and culture-shifting ideology, DC born artist Chaz French has gone from “being on road to customer service and back to designer clothes”, overcoming death, homelessness while embracing personal growth on his way to becoming a highly motivated, moment-seizing rapper with a major-label contract.
French developed his talent in the DMV area and issued his first mixtape ‘Happy Belated’ in 2014, which success lead to the release of his first studio album with then label Motown, touring with the likes of Wale, Freddie Gibbs, JID, Earthgang, Cordae and GoldLink. He also completed the album ‘True Colors’, released in August 2017 through his partnership with Motown with supporting appearances from BJ the Chicago Kid and Kevin Ross, along with the likes of Curren$y and Casey Veggies.
Now Independent; ‘Shroom Trip’, ‘Bang’ and the track ‘Finally Free’ serve as the first of four singles leading up to the release of his next body of work.
