Chemikilled is the collaboration of Chemikill guitarist Tim Piispanen and vocalist Tommy Thompson of Nightcrawler. The resulting studio effort is an 11 song collection of killer power metal anchored by the powerhouse drumming of studio musician Jonas Schütz.The CHEMIKILLED sound is US Power Metal influenced by such 80’s greats as Dio, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and early Metallica.
Tim Piispanen first appeared with CHEMIKILL on the 1990 Auburn Records Heavy Artillery compilation album featuring his track DEADLINE.
Then in 2019 he produced the independent release EDGE OF WASTELAND featuring a collection of CHEMIKILL classics previously only existing on demos or live tapes.
Tommy Thompson was with NIGHTCRAWLER from their inception in 1988 to 1995.
They produced a full length release titled SOLDIER IN TIME in 1989.
Followed by the 3 song EP ETERNAL CALL in 1990 and then a 2 song EP LOST MESSIAH in 1994.The logic was that if CHEMIKILL was standing at the EDGE OF WASTELAND in 2019 then by 2021 we had all been CHEMIKILLED and we are suffering the AFTERMATH of it all. Life really did imitate art as the events of 2020 almost made this nightmare scenario a reality.
