Born in 1954 in Kent, England. Studied Hindustani classical on sarod 1984-2002. More than twenty CDs of East-West fusion world music and relaxing New Age music released since 1990 debut. Formed the Celtic Ragas Band to play for Paul McCartney at his wedding in Ireland 2002. Concerts and films raising awareness about environmental destruction in India followed with his Green Ragas Band. Currently resides in Totnes, UK. Recent focus is creating songs based on expanded consciousness, such as his singles releases 'At the Edge', 'The World's Treasure' , 'This Moment'. Coronavirus lockdown has lead him to a series of duets with himself on sarod and classical guitar, including 'Ragas Relax II', 'Moment Without Motive' (in two parts) and 'As Above So Below'. Chinmaya does not use social media.
