Chris Kramer = harmonica = blues! Yes and no. Yes, because the 8-time winner of the German Blues Award is of course a blues musician and master on the harmonica. No, because in the last 30 years he also reached out beyond the blues every now and then. Whether as a music expert for German TV, as a children's book author, as a sideman of the German superstar Peter Maffay or in audio book productions. Sometimes consciously traditional, sometimes innovatively modern, but always with a deep love and respect for music. Chris Kramer describes himself as a simple storyteller. A storyteller who not only manages to captivate his audience, but also to unite the WHO IS WHO of international (blues) music on his productions.
Mick Taylor, Jack Bruce, Pinetop Perkins, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Long John Baldry, Mel Gaynor, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Allison, Helge Schneider, Pete York, Colin Hodgkinson and many more can be heard on his CD`s and are thrilled by the likeable coalminer's son from the Ruhr area of Germany. Jack Bruce:" The german master of the Blues Harp. Chris rules!" Chuck Leavell(Rolling Stones): "Chris is an amazing Harmonica Player".
