Doug MacLeod is an internationally acclaimed blues songwriter, guitarist, and storyteller known for soulful vocals, masterful guitar work, wit, and unforgettable live performances. At the heart of his music is storytelling—bringing vivid, deeply human characters to life.
A multiple Blues Music Award winner, MacLeod received the 2024 Acoustic Album of the Year (Raw Blues 1) and the 2023 Acoustic Artist of the Year awards, with additional 2025 nominations for Acoustic Artist and Acoustic Album (Raw Blues 2). His albums A Soul to Claim and Between Somewhere and Goodbye were named DownBeat Magazine Albums of the Year.
