Massey is very much an integral stalwart of Manchester’s underground electronic music scene where he is immersed in music on a daily basis and juggles multiple roles from producer, engineer remixer, promoter, booker, programmer, radio host, A&R & tea boy (obvs).
From running his own label Sprechen, which will celebrate its 6th birthday in 2022, and A&R for the legendary Paper Recordings sister label ‘Paper Disco’, to being a resident at Manchester’s Sticky Heat, and curating many of Manchester's most exciting venues.
His DJ sets jump genres from house to disco, ‘jolly techno’ to boogie & ‘weird shit’ alongside his own productions & remixes which have entertained dancers at gatherings not only at clubs and festivals in the UK, but also across across Europe at the likes of Barbarellas Discotheque & for Frekuensi Minor in Jakarta. He has DJ'd alongside the likes of Lindstrøm, Justin Robertson, ALFOS, Nancy Noise, Rex the Dog, Hifi Sean, Raw Silk & Awesome Tapes From Africa amongst many more.
More recently her has developed Sprechen into being more than just a record label and to be more a hub to nurture new & emerging creatives and where he can assist and mentor in the final mix & engineering stage of music production. This outlet has seen him work with many of the Sprechen roster as well as collaborate on projects with Manchester InternationalFfestival & The British Arts Council.
