Dallas native Christopher Blake effortlessly blends strong songwriting with Pop, R&B, Blues and Lofi Hiphop vibes. Drawing influence from legends like <a href="spotify:artist:776Uo845nYHJpNaStv1Ds4" data-name="Jimi Hendrix">Jimi Hendrix</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:3koiLjNrgRTNbOwViDipeA" data-name="Marvin Gaye">Marvin Gaye</a> as well as modern hitmakers like <a href="spotify:artist:20wkVLutqVOYrc0kxFs7rA" data-name="Daniel Caesar">Daniel Caesar</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:3TVXtAsR1Inumwj472S9r4" data-name="Drake">Drake</a>, Blake tries to find the balance between modern aesthetics and classic soul.
Blake made his first waves on the scene with a string of successful collabs with producer <a href="spotify:artist:5EItlcqDuWBook5YJM5NZS" data-name="Caden Jester">Caden Jester</a>. The duo were able to craft “bedroom” tracks that were able to reach wide underground and commercial success. Their 3 way collabs, “Secret Lover” & “DreamLove”, alongside British producer Soco, gained them further notoriety, gaining well over a million collective views and being featured on hit MTV shows “Teen Mom” and “Undressed”.
Blake’s first solo EP, “<a href="spotify:album:2nUp4ylZJiX2fOLB1HNwmw" data-name="This Side of Paradise">This Side of Paradise</a>”, combined his Singer/Songwriter roots with his Pop & RnB influenced production. The lead single “Thoughts” received support from major internet influencers College Music and AvienCloud, as well as several playlist placements from Spotify.
After a string of consecutive singles, the singer/songwriter/producer/guitarist finally made major waves last year with his collaboration with Italian producer <a href="spotify:artist:2FnjEL8SlmLe3YBFmPkV9N" data-name="Glaceo">Glaceo</a> on their song “Goodnight”, which broke 2 million plays in less than 6 months, made its way into the Netherlands Viral 50 and received international critical acclaim.
Blake will continue to push his sound and refine his skills as he releases new singles and collaborations.
