The 101 are a young indie-pop band from Aberdeen, Scotland. Drawing influences from the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Bad Suns, Fickle Friends and Passion Pit, they have made a considerable name for themselves both locally and nationally since forming in 2017.

The 101 have received support from BBC Introducing, BBC Scotland (Single of the Week), Amazing Radio, CLASH Magazine, NME, and numerous Spotify editorial playlists, including New Music Friday. The bands early successes have led to them being awarded the ‘Ones to Watch’ at the Pride of Aberdeen Awards in 2017, as well as being listed in Jim Gellatly’s ‘Top Tips for 2018’, alongside Lewis Capaldi, Callum Beattie & Dancing On Tables.

The band are already familiars to the Scottish live scene, with a sold-out headline Scottish Tour including a packed hometown show in Aberdeen’s most prestigious live music venue, The Lemon Tree. Off the back of the band’s initial success, they have also supported bands such as Fickle Friends, Fatherson and Gengahr in a host of venues across the country, with their live performance hailed as ‘bounding with a pulsing energy’.

The 101 were selected to open the main stage of Belladrum Festival in 2018, following a public vote. In December 2018, they supported Scottish legends Texas at a sold-out show in Aberdeen Music Hall. The band look optimistically into 2019, with a host of live shows and festival appearances set in place, and new music set for the Spring.
