Venturing into his first solo adventure, Australian Musician 'Clay Brown' has put together an amazing lineup of musicians to bring to life his folk blues poetry-driven sob rock - heartfelt stories of love & loss woven through catchy melodies & groovy rhythms.
After a double single drop ‘Traffic Signs’ & ‘Homesick Blues’ in Late-2024, Clay released ‘All My Friends (Atrophy)’ in April 2025, the first release with his new band Clay Brown & the Trouble Round Town featuring Jess June, Zoe Gol & Michael Menna. The alternative folk rock track, channeling artists like City & Colour and Noah Kahn, highlights the importance of leaning on your friends to help you through the low & hard times.
In October 2025 ‘No Place’ was released, channeling pain into jangly indie / alt-rock noise, met with community radio play across Australia including a spin on ABC Country. “Gritty yet heartfelt, ‘No Place’ captures an artist stepping into his own voice and a band finding its stride.” -Scenestr
Releasing January 2026, ‘Satisfy Your Mind’ is a blues-soaked indie-rock tune that captures the essence of navigating the digital age. The track speaks to the universal struggle with social media, encouraging listeners to focus on their individual journeys rather than getting caught in the endless cycle of comparison and doomscrolling. Musically, the song draws inspiration from artists like Red Clay Strays & Sweet Talk, blending moody indie melodies with a blues rock groove.
