Código is a Bachata band based in London. Founded in 2013 by Santiago, José and Dario as ‘Clave Musical’ they renamed themselves Código in 2016. Santiago is the lead singer, songwriter, composer and second guitarist. José is the lead guitarist, producer and composer. Tristan is percussionist. Juan handles bass and Dario the bongos.
In 2016 Código released their first single "Sin Tu Amor" which achieved success in UK & DR. The romantic song marked their first steps towards an international audience. After meeting producer Mayinbito Código released "Su Final" FT Ralphy Dreamz. In 2018 they released "Explicame" telling the story of a relationship that cannot be mended.
Código's third single "Dejando Huellas" became immensely popular in Europe, Americas & Asia inspiring professional Bachata dancers. The song’s lyrics express deep affection & transformation. Código was nominated for Best Tropical Act of the year at the LUKAS Awards, finishing as runner-up.
Their latest release "Lo Nuestro" solidified their presence in the Latin scene reaching #23 on local charts. The music video achieved 1.7M views & 190K monthly listeners. Lo Nuestro features in the "Top 2024 Bachata" playlist and played on well-known Bachata radio stations. Código has performed live across the UK and internationally in Helsinki & Edinburgh, known for their unique and warm atmospheric vibe, they are a sought-after Bachata boy band on their way to even greater success becoming the top Bachata boy band in Europe.
