Cold July is a young UK band from Guildford, Surrey, that writes timeless, harmony-driven, Indie-Folk-Pop, with classic singer-songwriter influences that resonates across multiple generations of music fans.
Their music has seen them nominated for both 'Best Indie Act' & 'Best Breakthrough Artist' at the 2025 Radio Wigwam Awards.
With a male/female co-lead dynamic and rich three-part harmonies, Cold July's music evokes Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac, the melodic craftsmanship of Crowded House, the anthemic acoustic rock of the Goo Goo Dolls, the harmony-drenched indie-folk of Flyte and Fleet Foxes, the strong emotional storytelling of Passenger and Phoebe Bridgers, and delivered with youthful, Indie-Pop energy.
Formed in May 2024 at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, the band bonded over their love of classic songwriting and an ambition to create long-lasting music.
Though only 18 years old, their songwriting shows a maturity beyond their years. Their 4 singles and the collection of songs that make up their self-produced debut album (recorded in the Summer of 2025 and set for release in Spring 2026) showcase exactly why they have been leaving audiences of all ages completely floored by the sheer quality of their songwriting and their sensational live shows.
With a deep respect for music history and influences spanning from the 60s through to today, Cold July carries a quiet confidence that is both endearing and electrifying.
