Cool Up Records is a record label dedicated to the creation and promotion of Reggae music, founded in 2017 and based in Seville, Spain. Over the years, it has established itself as an active presence in the Jamaican music scene in Southern Europe. Its catalog includes numerous vinyl releases resulting from collaborations with artists from different countries, with international distribution and coverage in specialized media.
The label is led by producer, sound engineer, and singer Mario Garcia aka Tenor Mario, together with illustrator Mr. John Vanilla. Their music is characterized by an original and carefully crafted sound, developed alongside the label’s regular musicians at Legalize Sound studio.
In addition to studio work, Cool Up Records has its own custom-built Cool Up Sound System and delivers a dynamic live show with its official horn section, Sherlock Horns. This lineup has performed at sound system events and major festivals in Spain, as well as in countries such as Switzerland, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Their performances combine live vocals, horns, and original productions, creating a festive and positive atmosphere that resonates with the audience.
