Named after the surname of the three brothers in the band, US rock band Couchois formed in the late 70s. Comprising Chris Couchois (vocals), Pat Couchois (guitar), Mike Couchois (drums), Chas Carlson (keyboards) and Howard Messer (bass), the group’s sound embraced the highly melodic soft rock platform of AOR radio. Although a much derided musical genre, Couchois executed the style expertly, particularly on their second album, 1980’s Nasty Hardware. This included the group’s most famous song, ‘Roll The Dice’, which was later covered to great success by Rage and several other pomp rock bands.
