“Sublime, warmly swirling...at once comforting and ominous” is how SPIN describes the “intoxicating production” of CSLSX. Since releasing their first single ‘Futuretapes’ in 2010, brothers Andrew and Chad Alburn, and frequent collaborator Jesse Davis, have earned widespread critical acclaim and pushed sonic boundaries with their unique blend of hazy electronic production.
The Philly/Brooklyn group continued their trajectory with 2012’s ‘Keep On Shining,’ which Pitchfork lauded as a “breezy electro gem.” The strength of these releases would earn them opening spots for Grimes, John Maus and St. Lucia and garner continued attention cross influential media outlets such as Pitchfork, Spin, Fader and Stereogum.
In 2016, CSLSX adventured out in a whole new direction, releasing the ‘Ritualize’ LP with Philadelphia rapper Lushlife, and working with such artists as Killer Mike, Ariel Pink, RJD2, Freeway and Marissa Nadler. The futuristic blend of shoegaze, hip hop and italo disco earned much critical acclaim, with Stereogum declaring “I’ve never heard anything quite like it. I recommend it highly.”
Now, in 2021, CSLSX is completing production on what will be their debut solo LP , working with Grammy award-winning producers Peter Katis and Nicolas Vernhes.
