Cuban Papi’s Bio
With his wide-ranging musical approach to Reggaeton/Hip-Hop, international music artist and songwriter, Cuban Papi, has become part of the revolutionary era of Reggaeton music in the United States today. Although it wasn’t really until 2004 that Reggaeton had become such a well-known style of music in the U.S, Cuban Papi had been preparing for this moment in history years before Reggaeton crossed over into the U.S. Born Ernesto Enrique Perez Barrueto in Las Tunas, CUBA, he began playing the piano at the age of 6, the guitar at age 11, and recorded his first song, “Tomala”, at the young age of 13. Cuban Papi accredits his young start in music to his dad, Ernesto Perez Tamayo AKA “Popy Green”. Cuban Papi made the decision of his own to continue with the music his father introduced to him because he feels music is one of the best ways to express his feelings. Cuban Papi moved to the U.S. in 2004 and continues to share his music internationally.
