Born and raised in Abeokuta, just north of Lagos, the singer spent his formative years in an entirely different path from music as he learned the technicalities of football but after losing his parents and falling in trouble with his coach, a random visit with a friend at the end of secondary school put him on the path to making music with Saheed Osupa as his earliest reference point.
In 2016, fresh from graduating secondary school, the singer started recording professionally, recording a series of covers that grabbed the attention of promoters and music impresarios in Abeokuta. Increasing support in his city has provided more visibility for the star as songs like “Cashless” and “Oyojo Reloaded” have seen him pierce the fringes of the mainstream with his flawless amalgam of trappy delivery and textured crooning.
Earlier in 2021, a chance meeting with music industry figures yielded a meeting with noted A&R and music entrepreneur, Bankulli, and under the respected figure’s guidance, he has worked with respected music don Shizzi as well as caught the interests of others like Don Jazzy and DJ Jimmy Jatt ahead of a scheduled project drop in the third quarter of the year.
