Damaged grew up in a musically inclined family that would play a lot of Al green and 90s Hip Hop. And thus she has have had a vast array of musical influences however she accredits the pivotal influences in her music to Portishead, The Weeknd, Amir Obe, AlwaysNever, and dark R&B or Soul. Damaged is the embodiment of originality and uses her musical acumen and ideas to create an amalgamated and original sound. This all culminates in Damaged producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun but still seeks to provoke thought. Damaged also uses her music as a vehicle to express her perspectives and tell stories.
