It all started with "Jesus Christ Superstar" for Dane Donohue…
After 2 years of touring all over the United States and Europe playing Jesus in the rock musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" in the early 70's, Dane signed with management elite Leber-Krebs in New York City. Columbia Records released the "Dane Donohue" Album on August 22, 1978. Sony Music (Japan) re-issued the album on CD in 1992 to great acclaim. Sony Music Entertainment's release on Legacy Recordings reached a new generation of listeners worldwide in the popular Yacht Rock genre.
The 10 Song Album was Produced by Terence Boylan with Jai Winding & Steve Hodge on 3 Tracks and brother John Boylan on 2 Tracks. The Album featured many renowned Vocalists and Players of the West Coast Sound : Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Timothy B. Schmit, John David Souther, Jay Graydon, Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Jai Winding, Bill Champlin and many more.
