3人が織りなすボーカルワークに緩やかなサウンドエッセンス、映像、デザインなどのアートセンスを加え、現代版ポップスにアップデートし、ポップとマイナーを上手くブレンドした新感覚の極上コーラス系バンド（作詞：ダニーメイ） 同様のボーカルグループで活動していたVo./Gt.：マサ、 Vo./key.：田中タリラ、過去に別のボーカルグループでの所属や映像クリエイターとして活動していたCho.兼クリエイター：Yunoの3人により2019年結成。初のCD作品、EP「暴食（読み方：グラトニー）」がタワーレコードの未流通リリース企画「タワクル」で4週連続1位獲得などが話題となり、注目される。 Mayとは、架空の人物としてDannie（外国人男性の名前）とMay（日本人女性の名前）を掛け合わせた造語（架空の人物）とし命名。

A three-piece chorus-oriented band distinguished by intricate vocal arrangements, subtle sonic textures, and a refined artistic sensibility spanning visual and design elements. Their music reinterprets contemporary pop, seamlessly blending brightness and melancholy into a sophisticated and distinctive sound.

Formed in 2019, the group consists of Vo./Gt. Masa and Vo./Key. Tanaka Tarira—both previously active in similar vocal groups—and Vo./Creator Yuno, who has experience both as a member of other vocal groups and as a visual creator.

Their first CD release, the EP Gluttony, gained significant attention, achieving four consecutive weeks at No.1 in Tower Records’ independent release program “TawaKuru.”

The name “May” is derived from a fictional persona, combining “Dannie,” a Western male name, and “May,” a Japanese female name—forming a coined term that represents an imagined character.
