David Fogel’s love of music covers a wide variety of genres: jazz, symphonic, and rock. He was a regular in the San Diego scene for more than 15 years before branching out to publish his music online in 2017.
David’s award-winning symphonic composition Path of Totality: Eclipse 2017 was recorded at SpragueLand and was the soundtrack to a music video of the Great American Eclipse (August 21, 2017). It played in more than 40 planetariums internationally, and received a Telly Award for Best Use of Music. David has 4 Telly Awards to date, including a gold in 2024.
David released the jazz album Back in the Groove (2019) follwed by Showtime (2022), playing piano, keyboards, sax, and guitar on most tracks, along with guest performers Hank Easton (guitars), Jim Weiss (sax), and Gary Gray (drums). David has released several piano and jazz singles, including I'd Like to Sail Away with You (feat. Hank Easton, guitars), Level Up, Inspiration Point, November Nine, West Coast, For Mom, Let's Fly, and Skyler Rises.
David also created a new genre of symphonic music, the Symphonina, a full symphony in about 10 minutes or less. He is CEO of The Symphonina Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps promote symphonic music to younger audiences. The foundation released its first album, Introducing the Symphonina, in 2023, which has received recognition from the Global Music Awards, Clouzine Magazine, and other organizations.
