David Longstreth is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer, composer, and singer. He started the indie band Dirty Projectors in 2002, and has released a dozen albums and toured internationally. Longstreth has collaborated with, among others, Solange, Rhianna and Björk.
Longstreth received his BA from Yale University in composition and has composed pieces for contemporary classical ensembles including Bang On A Can, yMusic and s t a r g a z e.
Longstreth's latest chamber work, Song Of The Earth was premiered by The Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The album, performed by Dirty Projectors with s t a r g a z e, will be released by Nonesuch Records on April 4, 2025.
The Legend Of Ochi is Longstreth's first film score, coming out April 25, 2025 on A24 Records.
