Dawn Of Solace was founded in 2005 as a side project for Tuomas Saukkonen the creative force behind Before The Dawn and debut album “The Darkness” saw the cold light of dawn in 2006 but the harsh side of music business took over and for legal reasons band was forced to go into hibernation for over a decade. Fans never forgot the band and during the years the critically acclaimed debut album started to gain a lot of streams and attention in Spotify despite the fact that whole platform was founded the same year band was buried.
2019 marked a new beginning when finally all obstacles to continue the band were overcame and new alliance was forged with Noble Demon. This partnership was one of the primal forces pushing the band back to the international scene of melancholic metal and brought two full length albums (Waves 2020, Flames of Perdition 2022) and one unplugged EP until the band entered the studio in the beginning of 2024 to craft their most versatile album to date. “Affliction Vortex” is an embodiment of nordic melancholy and raw Finnish darkness and is set to be released 14th of February 2025 with the first single “Murder” leading the way.
