Shylmagoghnar is a Dutch metal project founded by Nimblkorg and Skirge during their high school years. The name is intended to be a collection of syllables which hold personal value to each member.
The project started out around 2004, but hung in the balance for a couple of years.
Surviving this, a self produced/distributed debut album “Emergence” was released in February 2014.
Despite the absence of marketing and the low budget circumstances in which the album was produced, it found its way to many ears and received a warm welcome from underground metal communities around the globe.
This garnered attention from independent labels, and for their second album "Transience", Shylmagoghnar signed a deal with Napalm Records. Transience was released in 2018, and helped the band to find their way to a broader audience.
The third album, Convergence, has been released in full on November 10th 2023. This album has been produced as a solo effort by Nimblkorg.
