Day & Dream

Day & Dream is an indie rock dreampop shoegaze band hailing from Asheville, North Carolina. Long time artists, musicians & singer/songwriters, Peter Frizzante & Abby Amaya, initially met in NYC but didn't start a band until they moved to Asheville. Abby’s roots are in California 60s coastal pop, while Peter’s is post-punk indie rock. Working together, the now husband-wife team showcase their admiration for lo-fi lounge, sonic landscapes, fuzzy guitars, jazz tones & melodic pop structures. Reverb soaked & layered with soft whispery vocals, the result is an energetic & memorable reverie. Peter, the morning person, Abby, the night owl -- their band name is a nod to their opposite sleep schedules. Self described “star gazers & forest dwellers” the couple creates music that sounds like “your favorite warm fuzzy blanket.”


They’ve been featured on many comps: Green Witch Records (NY), Sunday Records (Chicago), Stereoactive Media (Austin), Shoegaze Pilipinas (Philippines), Holy Crap Records (NC), Editoris (Panama), OIM Records (Oakland) & Shiny Happy Records (Indonesia). They are currently recording new music at their home studio, Fuzzy Forest. Their next album, "The Art of Remembering" is slated to release February 2022 via Lilystars Records. Day & Dream is an official SXSW 2022 and New Colossus 2023 Artist.
