Deniz Taşar

Deniz Taşar is an Istanbul based singer, songwriter and a multidisciplinary artist with a genre bending musical approach, varying from jazz to pop. After her wins at three major young jazz vocal competitions, she released her well received debut album <a href="spotify:album:4vx4Fl9nz9XUCfCirFF6vj" data-name="Uykuda Bir Bulut">Uykuda Bir Bulut</a> and her bass-vocal duo project <a href="spotify:artist:35KT5T7DE2PBoT3UDpiW6j" data-name="Songs From A Breeze">Songs From A Breeze</a>&#39;s <a href="spotify:album:6EAqdItOdHtsj3A7YPuZkI" data-name="Chapter One">Chapter One</a> in 2016 through Lin Records.

She released <a href="spotify:album:0bpWSPAmaa6184pKTZcCtz" data-name="Onu Ona Ona Onu">Onu Ona Ona Onu</a>, with an accompanying short film with art direction by her and <a href="spotify:album:1SHSPcQ6TOrdKGHZzljMXJ" data-name="Uzaktan">Uzaktan</a> with a music video directed by Taşar herself. The artist founded the record label <a href="spotify:playlist:46zDaN7pSbMkal6UnEnXE6" data-name="SOLAS Records">SOLAS Records</a> where she released songs like <a href="spotify:album:1StgSx09rTtsb0KNhw7S1q" data-name="The Unfold">The Unfold</a> which she wrote and sang for the first Turkish original Netflix film and many more including <a href="spotify:album:2QwPH97GI2FZtSIde5XYtq" data-name="I&#39;m the Sky, I&#39;m the Earth">I&#39;m the Sky, I&#39;m the Earth</a>, <a href="spotify:album:6IjvhXAhY7zqej7ORPUKyX" data-name="Jump out the Loop">Jump out the Loop</a> and <a href="spotify:track:1FI7x1LgKft2QV7vHTV5CA" data-name="TJM">TJM</a> in collaboration with varying renowned artists from different musical backgrounds. She released her second solo album <a href="spotify:album:7j6RuTn69NM7yDaP39OC7o" data-name="Pişman Olunmayan Dünler">Pişman Olunmayan Dünler</a> where she expands her jazz sound to include pop, rock, hip hop and electronic elements. She was featured in Akbank Jazz Festival&#39;s archival 30th year vinyl as the youngest songwriter with her song <a href="spotify:track:1HpAtzz4FHGJeKaq9HmgFy" data-name="A Thank You Card">A Thank You Card</a>. Her collabs <a href="spotify:album:0h9vmIxngSSYsvv3xtVRVT" data-name="Reunite">Reunite</a> and <a href="spotify:album:2T8A7kMAqSUkYBvyBdRMNu" data-name="Burn">Burn</a>, written for a Disney&#43; original show was released through ES Müzik.

Winner of 2023’s “Best Jazz Artist” award by Radyo Boğaziçi Music Awards, Taşar, after releasing the singles <a href="spotify:album:79jXZOBscxBa5k0QBHNWmG" data-name="Söyle Deniz">Söyle Deniz</a> and <a href="spotify:album:6U4oklxrBFdIh3RISa073x" data-name="Damlaya Damlaya">Damlaya Damlaya</a>, just dropped her new album <a href="spotify:album:5Gcpt3ExSmw4mJEmbo0Csf" data-name="OVERFLOWING">OVERFLOWING</a>.
