DEQR began on the small island of Bahrain through a curious child in search of art, culture, and inspiration beyond life as he knew it. Raised by a single mother, much of his affinity for music is attributed to her nightly after-dinner drives blasting 90’s British pop bands. His childhood quickly became a composition of scenic routes along Bahrain’s coast to the soundtrack of <a href="spotify:artist:2DaxqgrOhkeH0fpeiQq2f4" data-name="Oasis">Oasis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0Grjlu7ncIuCaSYvCs9fcd" data-name="New Radicals">New Radicals</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6J7biCazzYhU3gM9j1wfid" data-name="Jamiroquai">Jamiroquai</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:1XgFuvRd7r5g0h844A5ZUQ" data-name="Take That">Take That</a>.
His love for music and expression blossomed in church, where DEQR learned to sing and play music, eventually building his skill set in production. After finishing school in India and making a life-changing move to the United States, DEQR settled into Nashville, TN where he continued writing music and developed visuals creatives and businesses alike.
DEQR is a melting pot of music eras and cultures from around the world. His ability to produce his music and translate it to film allows for a bilingual creative process. In collaboration with other singers and songwriters, the artist/producer project aims to be the same platform on which it began: with an openness to influence and a limitless imagination for possibilities.
