Desert Planet is a game pop group that has been making old school video games influenced electro-pop-space-punk-bling!-blong! -music since 1999. The music is a crazy mix of coin-operated video game sound effects, chipmusic, video game tunes, cheap synths, toy disco, space punk and alternative rock. The group has three members; musicians Jukka Tarkiainen and Jari Mikkola, third member is VJ Antti Hovila. The live shows are wild, something between electronic-laptop-live-act and science fiction space-punk-performance. The group is located mostly in Lapland, Finland.
