Harking back to the electronic/rock fusion pioneered in the '80s and '90s, industrial metal band Device were formed in 2012 by Disturbed frontman David Draiman and former Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo. Mixing huge, aggressive guitars with pulsing synths and pounding beats, Device's sound is reminiscent of acts like Nine Inch Nails and Die Krupps, adding electronic and dance elements to their sound without ever forgetting that, at their core, they're a rock band. Device made their debut in 2013 with a self-titled album featuring guest appearances from Tom Morello, Serj Tankian, and Geezer Butler. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
