Despite having had a tumultuous childhood and chaotic early adult life sharing similarities with the films of Scarface, 28 days, Higher learning, Matilda and St Trinians, Deyah is an unapologetic woman of faith and has finally landed. There’s health, there’s love, there’s optimism. Framed by a childhood of travelling the world, having spent years abroad, Deyah has soaked in an array of cultures and experiences that ultimately contribute to not only her lyricism but choice of sonics.
