DEZERT is a four-member rock band from Japan. Formed in September 2011 by founders Chiaki (vocals) and Sacchan (bass), the band later expanded to include members Miyako (guitar) and SORA (drums).
At first, DEZERT did not engage in any major promotion, opting to focus instead on cultivating their music and lyrics which express the pain and darkness of human beings in a grotesque manner. In turn, their work has attracted a great amount of attention, with their outstanding live performances gaining large groups of fans via word of mouth.
While placing the utmost importance on "acting faithfully to their own will," DEZERT has continued to carry out bold and unconfined musical initiatives.
In 2018, the band released the album "TODAY" via their new label MAVERICK, followed by the album "black hole" in 2019.
Immediately after "black hole", the band carried out its first nationwide hall tour, and in the summer, DEZERT made his first appearance at the largest outdoor festival in Japan.
They continue to gain momentum without being bound by the conventions of the stereotypical J-Rock scene.
The band held a one-man show at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall) on September 23, 2023.
Additionally, they have announced the release of their first major album from Nippon Crown, slated for release on January 2024. This was accompanied by an announcement about their release tour, and a one-man show at the Nippon Budokan also to take place next year.
