Aloha ! My name is Dillon Pakele and I am a Native Hawaiian/Samoan Hawai'i Music Artist that is from Kapolei, Oahu.
I'm primarily a island reggae artist but am slowly tapping into other genres of music like R&B and Gospel. I grew up around music my whole life being that my father (Kaulana Pakele) played music for groups like "Ehukai" (Moloka'i Slide) and "Mana'o Company" (Sweet Reggae Woman, Roots Rockin).
In 2019, My Father, Sister and I put together a group called "pakelemele" which was a family band and our dream was to make some music together and share it with the world. On May 25th, 2020, that dream came to a stop because my father passed and music became something I wasn't sure I wanted to do anymore, without him, it felt like music was pointless to me, he was the music in my life.
I later realized that music was the only thing that kept me from going over the edge and was the one thing that made me feel like he's still actually here and then I made a choice to continue doing music, not just for me but for his legacy and my future family's legacy.
