Disco Partisan, formerly known as Uncle Djuzeppe and the Mob, continues to deliver their signature style of punky reggae and garage. Disco Partisan is a pioneering artist which name came from his home town that was famous for their partisan activities against Nazis during ww2.
With a career marked by collaborations with notable bands and musicians, Disco Partisan’s first EP was produced by Jayson Nugent from The Slackers and featured a lot of music legends of the genre. These collaborations have helped shape a sound influenced by legends like The Clash, The Kinks, The Specials, the Slackers, Rancid, Dead Boys, Crazy Baldhead, Jaya The Cat, and the early days of reggae and ska, with hints of surf punk melodies and riffs.
Rolling Stone magazine said about Disco Partisan:”Disco partisan is a curious one-person project of eminently punk-rocker roots, but with diverse ramifications, lessons well learned from the Red Book of The Clash and a postgraduate degree in vocalization like Tim Armstrong (Rancid).
"Drunk Little Bird" is his most recent single, where the echoes of the garage and the distortion are impredictably interspersed with a soul piano and a confessional lyric. The punk is not dead... to the extent that it knows how to disavote its own rules.
Driven by a vision of unity, Disco Partisan aims to bridge the gaps within punk and society at large. His music calls for a return to unity, urging listeners to look beyond polarization and analyze the true state of the world.
