Dive Collate is a shoegaze trio hailing from Bali, Indonesia, consisting of Pingkan Tumbelaka (vocals & guitar), Ida Bagus Aris Widiarsa (bass & backing vocals), and Putu Dedy Pradiska aka Bondet (lead guitar). Drawing heavy inspiration from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:3G3Gdm0ZRAOxLrbyjfhii5" data-name="my bloody valentine">my bloody valentine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3Hg2a04c1Z2I3wKX32hLGU" data-name="The Depreciation Guild">The Depreciation Guild</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3ysp8GwsheDcBxP9q65lBg" data-name="Lush">Lush</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:72X6FHxaShda0XeQw3vbeF" data-name="Slowdive">Slowdive</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1tnjjbgszXYa8BbyTzwM0w" data-name="Whirr">Whirr</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6AX5hnjYSvcjZd9IyqYPsp" data-name="Deafcult">Deafcult</a>, their sound is a swirling mix of gauzy textures, melodic haze, and introspective mood.
The roots of the band stretch back to 2016–2017, when Aris and Bondet began experimenting with shoegaze and dreampop under the name The Comforting Lane. At the time, the project was more of a rehearsal-room experiment—haunted by the lack of a steady lineup and never quite leaving the studio.
Everything shifted in 2018 when they met Pingkan, whose ethereal vocals and guitar presence solidified the band's identity. With a new voice and renewed direction, the group reemerged as Dive Collate—a name now etched into the Southeast Asian shoegaze circuit.
Currently signed to Jakarta-based label Anoa Records—home to <a href="spotify:artist:59sKn5XeA4AI4WdrlW25aS" data-name="Themilo">Themilo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:36ZDWIVLMNmumxQ1l54CfE" data-name="Gascoigne">Gascoigne</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6UZs7JW1FeeIoYIBAUsLfM" data-name="Barefood">Barefood</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1OmBTwOooZHrYO3YUmSTIA" data-name="Texpack">Texpack</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4RcRA0H94M5m9D97A5jLD0" data-name="The Sastro">The Sastro</a> and more—Dive Collate continues to carve their place with lush, melancholic soundscapes and live sets soaked in reverb and dreamlike intensity.
After introducing themselves with the hazy swell of “Tulip”, Dive Collate returned in 2025 with a remastered version of “Winter”, a slow-burning storm of layered guitars and glacial beauty—proof that even in coldness, there's warmth to be found.
