Hellens

Hellens is a shoegaze/dreampop band formed in Tangerang, Indonesia in 2015 by Maulana Akbar (drum), Igar Adriansyah (rythm), Satrio Rizky (lead guitar), Andrian Garibaldi (bass) and Ary Gunaryono (synth) with musical effects from shoegaze bands like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, Lush, and Asobi Seksu. Joined in the following months after, Larasati Nugraha (vocal) who was casually their friend from high school. In the end of 2015, Hellens recorded 2 songs which are Losing Distance and Spacelight as their demos and their first step in indie or shoegaze local music scene. With hellens' beauty noises sound and implicit lyrics, those 2 songs got some nice feedbacks and succeed to be featured in some compilations. Hellens released their EP debute, "Distancia" under an independent label Gerpfast Kolektif in cassette tape and digital formats in Record Store Day 2016.
