At 2019’s Nyege Nyege festival Diaki made his first international debut which was set out to become the best Boiler Room set of 2019. Shortly after this debut "Le Président du Mali" prepared for his first diplomatic visit to Europe. Once more Diaki’s unique style of loop-based mixing alongside live drumming proved to become the future of the dancefloor after he played one of the best sets at CTM Festival 2020 at Panorama Bar/Berghain in berlin.
in February 2020 Diaki’s debut-album got released on Nyege Nyege tapes. This release brings forward one of the most interesting sounds in electronic dance music at the moment. Diaki has a unique take on Balani music, a fast-pace dance genre defined by echoes of coupé décallé and a punchy boss dr 660 drum machine. The guardian gave it an acclaimed review of 4/5.
