Born Pedro Cardoso, DJ N.K natural from Lisbon son of a Portuguese father and Angolan Mother is one of the historical Afro-Music producers who reside in the periphery of the Portuguese capital. His musical repertoire, specifically his collaborations alongside Dj Marfox and Dj Nervoso in the Djs Di Ghetto Mix tape have influenced a generation of new music creators in the scene of the Afro-Portuguese Dance Music.
His interests in music is a repercussion of his being an avid record collector, constantly playing music in the family house while DJ N.K. was growing up. As a result of this environment his interests began shifting to the African music influenced by artist like Bonga Kwenda, Salif Keita, Ildo Lobo, José Carlos Schwarz, Maya Cool, Artur Nunes, Jovens do Prenda, Teta Lando, Angelo Boss, Rey Webba and Banda Maravilha.
His early life experiences are a big influence in his music production, that can be described has a mix of powerful beats fused with African tribal rhythms and techno from Detroit.
Nowadays his main mission is to make his music a catalyst of positives vibes and emotions, not just in the music but also in the dance. His other goal is to expand the cultural diversity in the music industry.
