With his music career entering its 20th anniversary, the role of DJ Mykal a.k.a.林哲儀, has crossed over various music industry identities: music critics, editor-in-chief for music magazine, record company manager, nightclub music director, ownder of record store owner & street fashion brand...etc. Now he is not making music but also founder of the Chinese electronic music label ROKON.
With a professional background of more than 20 years, he is able to show his DJ skill from music knowledge without any limitation, it makes him be one of the most representative Mixture DJs in Taiwan to be mixing Electronic Dance Music, Rock, Hip Hop & Mandarin music all together. Because of his rock'n'nroll attitude with music and powerful energy on stage, he has been one of the most highly praised DJ in Taiwan for a long time.
Therefore, he has been receiving many overseas DJ bookings from Japan, Korea, HK, KL, Singapore, China...etc. In Taiwan, he has been the top choice as supporting DJ for important international acts such as The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Korn, UNKLE, Boys Noize, Andy C, Paul Oakenfold...among others. Besides, he also has released two official DJ-Mix albums "Original Brainchild" and "ELEKTROTEQUE BASS WEAPONZ Vol 1.1". In 2017, he just released debut 12" EP "RKNIIFTR" including remixes by FPM &☆Taku Takashashi.
