Respectfully referred to as Da Reggae Don, DJ Norie was born and raised in Brooklyn’s East Flatbush area. Norie became familiar with reggae music by listening to coveted sound clash cassettes from the era’s premier Jamaican sound systems. “Listening to the cassettes of Stone Love, Kilimanjaro and other sounds, I knew I wanted to be a part of that,” Norie recalled. Making noise through the city and the tri-state area working clubs and various spots, he earned a rep for rocking the party and built a name as a top reggae and Caribbean DJ. From there, Norie joined Power 105.1 FM, NY’s #1 station for hip hop, R&B and reggae music, and is now the region’s #1 Caribbean DJ.
Now taking on the role as artist too, DJ Norie will release a new album Norie Strikes Again Vol. 1 in 2024, with special guest features including Sean Paul, Shaggy, Wiz Khalifa, Konshens, Stylo G, Popcaan and more.
