Vetkuk alongside Mahoota have entrenched their names in the local dance scene. The collaboration between Jotham Mbuyisa and Zynne Sibika has proved to be one of music's most enduring partnership that has garnered them critical acclaim and commercial success dating back to 2001.
The last time they released was in 2012 but they have managed to still have gigs every weekend of the year. Mahoota says the secret lies in cultivating good relations. ‘Wherever we go we please the audiences and we build relationships with promoters. We don’t treat ourselves as superstars or divas, we acknowledge that you are as good as your last hit.’
Vetkuk maintains that they are a dance duo and are not limited to what type of dance they record.
