Vetkuk real name Jotham Mbuyisa a half of Vetkuk Vs Mahoota, was born at Baragwanath hospital in Diepkloof (Soweto), then raised in his parents house in Zone 6 (Meadowlands). Started djing at an early age of 10 years old at his parents home, entertaining he's late Dad's and friends when they had a gatherings. He then started a business of hiring out sound his dj services at parties in the hood in the early 90's. He then started creating mix tapes so he can keep getting vinyls. Just after SA getting independence Vetkuk went to become one of the most Prominent Djs, now playing sets at night clubs and outdoor events. That led to him meeting up with Sprikiri than later introduced him to Mahoota. Vetkuk Vs Mahoota Duo was born in 2001, have been strong till date. Released 8 gold and platinum status studio albums, plus multiple chart toping platinum certified singles. Including “Bula Nthweo” alongside Dj Maphorisa & XDuppy. Dropped a new single Khetcha with Myztro ft @Scotts Maphuma & Xduppy.
